Yesterday, I got to experience the fantastic new challenge of photographing jewellery, which for some reason I've never had a chance to do on Hello Miss Jordan before. This is perhaps the weirdest revelation ever, because I am obsessed with jewellery. I'm a full on magpie. Anything that glitters, I want it.
So, when Buckley London were giving away some of their beautiful Miniature Heart Pendants* during the Bloggers Hub's twitter party, I jumped at the chance. Happily, I was one of the lucky people chosen and I was delighted to see it looked even more gorgeous in real life than it did on the screen.
It's absolutely the perfect size, as some jewellery with crystals can often look too much when on. However, this pendant sits daintily on the neck and the Austrian crystals add the perfect flash of sparkle. It still has a bit of weight to it, though, which means it feels really good quality and not like it will break after two wears. But, just in case, it comes with a two year international warranty, so you don't have to worry at all!
It's also ROSE GOLD, PEOPLE. You know I love it. And, if you're not one for glitter the necklace is actually reversible, so you can have a full heart of rose gold.
I don't know why, but the pendant also reminds me of Once Upon A Time, my all-time favourite TV show. If you haven't seen it already then I strongly suggest you watch it, especially if you're as obsessed with fairy tales as I am. There's a massive emphasis throughout the show on the importance of the heart, how it is affected by love, goodness and evil, and for that reason this necklace feels really special to me.
