The Road to Happiness

Recently, I found an amazing little website called Do What You Love which is full of inspiration for making your life happier, healthier and generally more love-filled. On this website, you can download their New Year's Revolution pack for free (at the top of the page), and although you may say it's a bit too late for anything to do with the new year, I believe it's never too late.

Basically, you fill in the pack, saying what you achieved in 2013, what you want to achieve in 2014 and how you aim to achieve those goals. It's extremely therapeutic and calming and I spent a good hour at my desk filling in all the little boxes.

It also includes a year calender, where you can fill in all the momentous occasions you will have, with a word of the month and mini goals.

I thought I'd share this because I have real trouble sticking to goals. One year, I decided to read 30 books in the year (which isn't really a lot) and I got to about 10 before completely forgetting about it.

I'm also sharing because my main goal is happiness. True happiness, none of that flouncy fake happiness. I'm really happy I started this blog, because every time I write a post it's about something I'm passionate about and something which makes me happy. It's sort of a reminder of each little thing in my life that I would otherwise forget. Even if it's a trip to a tea rooms or buying a new bit of makeup.

By the end of 2014, I want to be able to look in the mirror and say, "Yep, I loved this year. This was the year everything came together."

And perhaps it won't come together. Perhaps I'll still be a waitress trying to work her way through university by the end of December. But that's fine too. Because my mama says that true happiness comes from within, not from an achievement, an award or anything alike. But I'd like to end the year knowing that I'm on my way to my dreams. That's the goal.
