Lucid Love

One thing I've always been serious about is my skincare. As somebody who personally wears very little makeup I have to make sure my skin is in top-notch condition so I can avoid caking on the concealer when breakouts occur. I have a pretty simple skincare routine, so I was intrigued when Magnitone took part in the Bloggers Love Hub Twitter Party. They were giving away the coveted Magnitone Lucid* to a few select bloggers who applied, and having seen a similar one by Clinique (which was way out of my price range) I jumped at the chance to try it out.

I was so excited to find out that I had been selected to try it, and was even more excited when it arrived on my doorstep. It's probably no surprise that I chose the shade 'Plush Pink', which is a gorgeous colour!

Magnitone claim to give you softer, brighter, smoother skin in just 7 days, so I began to the challenge with quite high hopes as you can expect! I was a bit confused as to how a brush can make that much of a difference, but I'm always open to new products.

The Magnitone Lucid has two settings; sensitive and deep clean which you can use on your face daily along with your regular cleanser. I started with using sensitive as the instructions recommended, but having found no side effects I decided to up it to deep clean on day four. I didn't find it too harsh on my skin, although I know some people would prefer the sensitive option. I noticed my skin feeling a lot softer even after the first use and my face felt a lot cleaner when applying my toner and moisturiser in the mornings.

One thing I did notice was that a lot of the spots on my nose (my main area for breakouts) were coming up, but this meant it was easier for me to get rid of them. I put this down to the brush's pore unclogging abilities and it really helped to clear up my nose more.

The brush itself is super easy to use, with a built-in timer that allows you to spend an equal amount of time on each section of your face.

I am really happy with the Magnitone Lucid and I will definitely be continuing to use it. The brushes have to be changed every so often but for the difference it's made to my skin I definitely think it's worth it.

Let me know in the comments what you think of using a cleansing brush!
