I actually cannot remember the last time I did a beauty post on here! Beauty is funny for me, as it's something I love but it can take a while for me to find a product I'm passionate enough about to write a full on post here. But, lipsticks are always an exception.
After using up a few of my old lippies, I decided to treat myself to two new shades for the colder seasons, and I have to say I haven't worn anything other than my two choices since I purchased them.
Ever since the Kiko Cosmetics store opened in Brighton, I knew that I needed one of their lipsticks. Perfectly packaged and brilliantly budgeted, they are pretty much the bees knees for me. Of course (the hater of decisions that I am), it took me about two months to decide what shade to get. As soon as I was all decided, I walked into the store to come face to face with rose gold. The new Intensely Lavish Lipsticks (£6.90) are part of the Rebel Romantic range and I was this close to buying the whole damn lot. Eventually I chose the shade '01, Lusty Peony' which is the most gorgeous shade ever. It's definitely a Kylie Jenner-esque, deep pink that looks natural on the lips but still adds a beautiful pop of colour. It's also super soft to apply and doesn't dry out the lips at all.
The second shade I picked up is one I've been contemplating for ages. After seeing quite a few bloggers go wild for the coveted Charlotte Tilbury 'Glastonberry' lipstick, I wasn't quite ready to part with £23, so I went for the dupe! But, I was still excited to try out my first Topshop lipstick (£8.00). The shade above is 'Inhibition' and it's the perfect berry-toned lipstick for Autumn. As someone who wears a lot of reds, I wanted something that was more purple toned and this fit the bill perfectly. It's also got great staying power but can be slightly drying, so I would recommend wearing a lip balm underneath.
I have to say I'm completely falling for fall with these two in my life! They are both gorgeous colours and are really getting me into the colder months (despite being a Summer girl!).
Let me know what you think of my picks!
