Sugar Junction, Manchester

On our second day in Manchester we woke up bright and early and headed out to the Northern Quarter in search of the best breakfast in town. Luckily, I had been given a few recommendations and after some deliberation we decided on visiting Sugar Junction, which not only has the most adorable name ever, but sits right in the heart of the urban Northern Quarter, in the cutest tea room you've ever seen!

Everything is decked out in vintage photographs, old jars and second hand furniture. The music playing is all from the 50's and 60's and the girls behind the counter donned victory rolls.

It was a proper, good old-fashioned tea room and that made me so happy to see. There even a few delicious looking homemade cakes on the counter.

We had a quick scan of the menu before ordering up two full English's. I was intrigued to see that the breakfast didn't come with toast, but rather English muffins, which I've never really seen before!

The coffees arrived served in huge teacups with the most adorable saucer ever! It has strawberries on it! I'm obsessed with teacups so this was a fabulous surprise.

Shortly after, our breakfasts showed up on huge blue plates, piled high with scrummy looking food.

I mean, even looking at that now makes my mouth water!

I can honestly say it was one of the best Full English's I've ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and the addition of the English muffin was a surprise I didn't expect to love so much. Also, I'm not usually a fan of sausages, but these were spot on delicious. It filled us up so much that we didn't even need to eat lunch for the rest of the day!

We did return later on for a drink after another recommendation, Moose Coffee had an hour's wait (must have been really good!). I had a banana and nutella milkshake which was absolutely delicious.

I would definitely recommend visiting Sugar Junction if you're out and about in Manchester. It's one of those hidden gems that is perfect for good food and especially if you're a huge fan of vintage!
