The Uptown Girl

One brand that I have always loved the look of but never had a chance to try is Charlotte Tilbury. I remember the first time I saw one of her lipsticks pop up on one of Zoella's videos and my first thought was, "Oh my gosh. I need that right now." Everything about the brand screams luxury, from the signature rose gold packaging to the extremely adorable product names (yep, I get into product names, people, don't judge). 

So, as you can imagine, when I opened one of my birthday presents a few weeks ago to find a very special plum coloured box I was absolutely over the moon! I had visited the new concession at Bluewater a while back and pointed out the Signature Makeup Looks that you can buy. The one that immediately caught my eye was 'The Uptown Girl'; a kit containing super classic nudes, golds and browns that I knew would be perfect for my everyday makeup. 

This probably goes without saying, but I absolutely adore everything in the kit, including the prettiest makeup bag that I've ever seen. Thanks to CT, I feel like an absolute girl boss every time I apply makeup. The Full Fat Lashes mascara has to be the best mascara I've ever used. As someone cursed with short lashes, this actually works to make them look fuller, longer and more defined. It actually looks like I have lashes when I wear this and that makes me very happy. 

The Cheek to Chic Blush in 'Love Glow' has also stolen my heart. It's the perfect shade for me; a natural, deep pink with a slight shimmer that looks gorgeously natural when applied to the cheekbones. 

Of course, the things I was most looking forward to using were the lip products. The set contains one of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks in 'Bitch Perfect', a shade that I've wanted to try for ages now. When I first applied it I was actually unsure as to whether or not the colour was too light for my lips, however I've absolutely fallen in love with it, especially when combined with the Lip Cheat in 'Pink Venus'. The liner really makes all the difference in making my lips look fuller and more even. 

I finish off my lips with the Lip Lustre in 'Sweet Stiletto' and I've never been an avid user of lip glosses until now. Using this on top of the other two products takes my lips to a whole other level. 

But the product that really sold the set to me was the Luxury Eyeshadow Palette in 'Uptown Girl', featuring the most beautiful shimmering golds and smokey grey shades that I wear practically every day. The shadows are so pigmented that applying them is super easy, and the darker shades aren't so overwhelming that I look like I've got a black eye after I put them on (always a plus). It's seriously one of the best palettes I've ever used!
