The Seasonal Clearout & Why I Love It

No matter the season, one thing I always love to do is have a huge wardrobe, beauty and home clearout. As a blogger, we are very lucky to have a lot of things sent to us, which is fantastic but can be very overwhelming when your once organised wardrobe is suddenly bursting at the seams and you find yourself unable to physically wear/use everything!

So I make it a priority to have a huge sort out, especially once the seasons change and you can have a better perspective of what kind of clothes you will almost definitely want to keep. I also find it the best time to start changing up my furniture and homeware. After a few years of the same items it can get a bit boring and maybe pieces that I bought four years ago have run their course.

The lovely people at Shiply have kindly sponsored today's post and they are a fantastic man with a van company who will drive your items anywhere you like, which is fantastic when you're struggling to find someone to pick up your furniture locally, but there's someone in Edinburgh who would be happy to take it off your hands!

For me, the best part about having a clearout is the mental benefit. I don't know about you guys but whenever I get rid of a ton of stuff I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and it's absolutely fantastic. My mum will come down to my house every so often and help me out, because she's absolutely brutal when it comes to getting rid of things. I always think it really helps when you have a friend or family member who can help you make the decisions about what should stay or go!

A lot of people akin physical clutter to mental clutter and I honestly couldn't agree more. As my SAD starts to make a return as well, it's even more important for me to improve my mind in as many departments as possible (plus it's always good to make room for more Halloween and Christmas decorations!).

Let me know in the comments if you're a fan of having a spring clean and sort out, or if you're a bit more of a hoarder! x
