Part of me honestly can't believe I'm actually writing this blog post (even though most of you probably know already)! It feels truly surreal, yet here we are! On Wednesday 7th November, the love of my life planned an entire day of surprises in Disney World. From a horse drawn carriage ride at Port Orleans, to dinner at Victoria and Albert's and finally a stay at the Grand Floridian (the hotel I have always dreamed of staying in in Disney World!). Everything was absolutely perfect.
He led me to a room which turned out to be our suite for the night, opened the door and I was presented with a sea of balloons and red roses, as well as Disney music playing on the television. For some reason, even then I really didn't think what would happen next would happen.
He came back from the bedroom with his hands behind his back, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! And of course, I sobbed for at least a minute before saying 'yes'. As he proposed, the happiest coincidence occurred and my all time favourite Disney song 'Go the Distance' was playing. It literally couldn't have been more perfect.
From both of us, I just want to thank everyone who has liked, commented or messaged their congratulations. We have been absolutely overwhelmed by all the love and so grateful to have so many kind and caring people in our lives. I have tried to get round to replying to as many as possible, but if I haven't to yours, please know that we both appreciate it so much!
I absolutely cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with this incredible man. He is the most kind, generous and loving person I have ever met and I am so lucky to call him my fiancé! x
