So the idea of trying on wedding dresses has been a dream of mine since I was little. As soon as I got engaged I knew it was the one thing I was looking forward to the absolute most out of all the wedding planning! So, a couple of weeks ago the lovely people at Dress Dreams Bridal invited me down to their boutique in Sevenoaks for my first ever try-on experience!
Needless to say I was ridiculously excited! A lot of people assume I would know exactly what I would want in a dress, being a fashion blogger and all, but if I'm completely honest I had absolutely no clue going in! Luckily, Shereen was on hand to help me in finding my absolute dream dress.
The shop was closed for my try-on which made the whole process a lot more relaxing! Shereen showed me all the dresses they had in some catalogues while I said which ones I liked the most. Honestly, she must have the most amazing memory because after we went through many, many dresses, she quickly found all of the ones I had liked and hung them up. Even I couldn't remember which ones I had picked so I was very impressed!
One of their main designers is Riki Dalal, and I have to say their dresses were just something else! I absolutely adored the variety of unique styles they offered and they all had a little something different about them.
I always thought I'd have to visit tons of dress shops before finding 'the one', but there was a certain dress at Dress Dreams that I just adored. I knew as soon as I put it on that it was the one! The dress itself is actually having some slight alterations to make it more bespoke, but it was just perfect. The whole experience was incredibly magical and we all ended up shedding a few tears when I found the dress.
I honestly couldn't recommend Dress Dreams enough if you're based in Kent. The service was outstanding and I never at any time felt pressured by them to choose a dress. They even let me try on dresses that I knew weren't really my style but I just wanted to wear for the experience. I felt so relaxed and wedding dress shopping can definitely be overwhelming! I can't wait to head back again soon for some more detailed fittings of my dress. It was just wonderful!
