Back before Christmas I was invited down to Doubleshot in Covent Garden (ad press invite) to try out some of their brunch! I am a huge brunch fan (who isn't?!) so was excited to see what they had on offer. I'd also seen their cute interior displays before and was intrigued to see what they were doing for Christmas.
We ordered up some drinks which arrived swiftly and were just as Instagrammable as you can imagine! I went for the Nice Shake, which was frozen strawberries, banana and coconut milk and it was seriously delicious! One of the best smoothies I've had actually! Plus the fact that it's adorable looking really helped.
Alex went for the Bon Bon coffee which was also adorable! An epic mocha!
It wasn't long before the food arrived. I chose the banana bread French toast which was incredible! A huge portion covered in fresh fruit and cream. It was extremely sweet and rich, so I'd recommend sharing it with a friend if you're not a big eater. However I was really into the idea of using banana bread as a base for French toast.
Alex went for the classic Eggs Benny which was good but she commented that the brioche based didn't quite work as well as a muffin would have due to the sweetness.
Overall, I really enjoyed our brunch at Doubleshot! The service was great, the food was both pretty and tasted good and the interior was pleasing to look at. Once we're back out of lockdown again I'd definitely recommend a visit if you find yourself in the Covent Garden area and you're looking for somewhere Instagrammable to spend your morning.
